Connect Claude to AstraEye Labs, whose AI scientists compute each figure from licensed market data: add its MCP server (https://astraeyelabs.io/mcp) and sign in to AstraEye. Then ask for research in plain words, see the price in Astra Credits before any run starts, and have Claude read the finished report back, with its methods.
Claude can talk about markets, but without a data tool its figures come from memory or a web search. Connected to AstraEye Labs, it reads research whose figures are computed from licensed market data, with the method behind each one. Here are the steps, from adding the connector to checking a figure.
In Claude, add AstraEye Labs as a custom connector, with the address https://astraeyelabs.io/mcp. The Research API is available on the Space Analyst plan and above. A connection works with a personal AstraEye Labs account, not one provided through a school or another institution.
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol, an open protocol for connecting AI applications to external data sources and tools, with OAuth sign-in to your own AstraEye account. Members on a plan that includes the Research API also get a one-click Connect to Claude button on the Research API page.
Claude sends you to AstraEye to sign in. The page lists what Claude asks for: Read your research is always on, and it is read only. Where the page offers SAGE chat and actions, tick it if you want Claude to ask SAGE and to price and start research for you, and set a Daily credit limit, the most it can spend in Astra Credits in one day. Then choose Approve, which asks you to confirm it is you first.
Always on. Your projects and report summaries, read only.
Where the page offers it, your choice: ask SAGE, and let Claude price and start research and change your watchlist and projects for you.
The most Claude can spend in Astra Credits in one day. You can change it later in Settings.
Name the stocks, ETFs or coins and what you want to know, for example how two stocks are trading going into earnings, or whether a group of coins moves with Bitcoin. The request becomes a research project built from AstraEye's analysis catalog, whose analyses specialist AI scientists run in code on licensed market data.
The research desks a run can draw on today:
Technical Market Research Analyst
Fundamental & Macro Research Analyst
News, Catalyst & Sentiment Analyst
Research Synthesis Analyst
Research Summary & Explanation Interface
Market Discovery & Screening Analyst
Derivatives & Volatility Research Analyst
On-Chain & Alternative Data Research Analyst
Claude prices the run with quote_research_run and calls start_research_run only after you agree to that price.
Research is priced in Astra Credits. Claude prices a run before it can start it, and the tools tell it to start the run only after you agree to that price. A run never starts above the price you agreed to, and the daily credit limit you set caps what Claude can spend.
When a run finishes, Claude can read the report to you: the summary, each specialist's findings, the bottom line, the prepared questions and answers and, where the report has them, its methods. Charts and tables stay in AstraEye, and each report comes with the link to its page there.
Your research projects and runs, and the written prose of your own reports: the summary, each specialist's findings, the bottom line, the prepared questions and answers and, where a report has them, its methods; the assets on your watchlist, never a quantity, cost or note; and, with SAGE chat and actions allowed, your SAGE chat.
A report's charts, tables and data fields. Open the report in AstraEye to see them and the data sources it credits.
Ask Claude for the window, the date and the method behind any figure, and open the report in AstraEye to compare it with the data sources credited at its end. A figure that comes with none of these has not been shown to be right, however precise it looks.
It is the habit regulators recommend for any AI answer: the SEC, NASAA and FINRA warn investors that AI-generated information can be based on false or outdated information, and NIST's risk profile for generative AI names the failure confabulation, “confidently stated but erroneous or false content”.
Every assistant side by side is in the guide How to research stocks and crypto inside ChatGPT or Claude, with real data, and the questions to ask about any single figure are in Seven checks before you trust an AI's stock or crypto numbers.
Before you connect anything, open a published AstraEye report, no account needed, and see what Claude would read back: the findings, the methods and the data sources.

Only if you allow it. Where AstraEye's sign-in page offers SAGE chat and actions and you tick it, Claude can price and start research and change your watchlist and projects, and nothing spends more than the daily credit limit you set. Whether Claude checks with you before each action is set in Claude's own settings for this connector.

Remove the connection in AstraEye's Settings at any time. It is separate from any Research API token you hold, and you can disconnect it on its own.
Yes. AstraEye Labs connects to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok or Glama as an app, so the assistant can read your finished reports and their methods, ask SAGE about them, and price and start new research.
There is a free plan, and paid plans start at $19 a month (Space Analyst). New accounts get a 7-day trial with no card. Every research run shows its price in credits before it starts.
Claude is a third-party product with its own terms. AstraEye Labs is not affiliated with Anthropic. AstraEye Labs research is impersonal and descriptive, not investment advice.
